Spring Featured Artists

  • Matt Brown | Woodblock Print
  • Boyan Moskov | Ceramics
  • Lauren Pollaro | Jewelry
  • Melinda LaBarge | Fiber/Scarves

Matt Brown: " I make prints using water, rice paste and pure pigments from multiple carved wood blocks. My work is inspired by the Ukiyo-e-prints of Japan.
This is original art made entirely by hand in limited editions of 300 or less.

Boyan Moskov: " Working with clay brings balance and satisfaction to my life. I use a dark brown clay body, thrown on the wheel and then I manipulate the piece. I use metal oxides to add more color variations and a golden glaze to accent the work.

Lauren Pollaro: " My work is a fusion of many interests, materials and techniques. All of my work is inspired by color. Color evokes a reaction, can be mood altering and brings a vitality to my pieces. Inspiration is also drawn from creating work with materials that are unexpected. Lauren finds it satisfying to harmonize the chaos of many disparate options.

Melinda LaBarge: Melinda is a silk and wool artisan who specializes in the Nuno felt technique. 'Nuno" from the Japanese word meaning cloth, is a technique that bonds loose fiber, usually wool onto a sheer fabric such as silk. Melinda specializes in scarves, shawls and pillows.
'I find working with color joyous"
