Join us as we make the Making Backpack by Noodlehead. We’ll kick things off on May 6th with an overview of the pattern, plus tracing and cutting. We will meet weekly to work through the project, learn construction techniques with expert guidance, and support one another along the way. We will conclude with a final celebration with our finished backpacks on May 27th!
We expect this to be a joyful way to learn new sewing skills, share your love of craft with others, and, of course, end up with a great new backpack! Perfect for adventurous beginners and seasoned sewists alike! Ages 16+
Supplies: Pattern, interfacing, webbing, and hardware included with registration. Fabric and thread sold separately and should be in hand for the first class on May 6th. Recommended fabrics include: canvas (7-9 oz. weight), waxed canvas (8-10 oz. weight), or dry oilskin for exterior fabric, quilting cotton for the lining.
You are welcome to bring your sewing machine (plus its feet and manual) or use one of the studio's sewing machines.
