Sewing Basics & Beyond

If you've never used a sewing machine or you’d simply like a refresher, this series of workshops is for you! Each of these short accessible workshops will build your sewing confidence!

This workshop will introduce you to the anatomy of the sewing machine and how to get started including, bobbin winding, threading, stitch selection and sewing a variety of seams. Over the course of 3 weeks, we will make a customizable projects including a pillowcases, tote bags and zipper pouches. Those with some experience can level-up their sewing integrating more complex techniques.

Supplies: Bring your sewing machine (plus its feet and manual) or use one of the studio's sewing machines.

We will review material requirements at the first class. Choose from a variety of fabrics from our collection, or bring your own to personalize your project.
