  • CraftStudies Studio & School 87 Maple Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

Saturdays, February 14, 2026 10A - 2P| February 21, 2026 10A-12A | 2 sessions | $200

Create your own botanical soap using all-natural ingredients! Gather around the craft of traditional cold process soap-making in this hands-on, sensory-rich workshop. Each participant will create a full loaf mold of handcrafted soap—approximately 6-8 bars—using organic, nourishing ingredients and seasonal botanicals. At the end of the workshop, we’ll cut and swap a few bars with one another—so you’ll go home with a beautiful variety of handmade soaps.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to reconnect with earth-based craft traditions.

We’ll explore:

  • The foundations of cold process soap chemistry and safety

  • How to blend oils like shea butter, jojoba, coconut, and olive oil for a rich, skin-loving base

  • Scenting with essential oils like peppermint, lemongrass, and lavender

  • Coloring naturally with natural food sources, clay ,and turmeric

  • Pouring techniques, swirl effects, and herbal toppings

Choose from three blends:

  • Peppermint + Red Swirl: cool and uplifting, with mineral pigment

  • Lemongrass + Turmeric: golden and bright, with warming spice

  • Lavender + Flowers: soothing and floral, topped with dried organic buds

Note: Cold process soap takes 24–48 hours to harden and 4–6 weeks to fully cure. The workshop will primarily take place on Saturday, February 14th, with a second meeting on Sunday, February 21st at 10am to cut, package and swap soap!

Supplies: All materials are included with registration.
