Welcome to the Studio: Saw and Solder

Tuesdays, July 7 - 28, 2026 | 5:30 - 8:30P | 4 sessions | $250

Design and create your own unique jewelry or small metal objects while learning essential metalsmithing techniques. You’ll explore product design through projects such as earrings, pendants, belt buckles, or key tags. Working with 20-gauge copper and/or brass sheet metal, you will build skills in sawing, including changing blades, cutting straight and curved lines, navigating direction changes, and piercing. You’ll also learn sweat soldering to layer and fuse metal elements, along with important materials knowledge and safety procedures. The class concludes with finishing techniques such as cleaning and polishing to give your work a professional shine.

Supplies: Instructional materials provided. Additional supplies may be purchased through the Studio Shop.

Bench Time: Bench Time is included for the duration of the class and for 2 weeks after the final session to finish your projects.
