Katie is the force behind CraftStudies’ visual identity, handling everything from graphics and communications to exhibition design and studio aesthetics. She joined the organization as a board member in 2022 and quickly fell in love with the vibrant, joy-filled community—before becoming part of the team officially in 2023 as Creative Media Manager. (Unofficially, she answers to "Director of Creative Chaos.")

Katie's craft journey began with learning how to cross-stitch from her Baba. However, her current obsession is quilting—especially as a canvas for embroidery. In her work, Katie blends bold geometric patterns with delicate stitched botanicals and map-inspired designs. The second quilt she ever sewed—Glory to Ukraine—will be featured in the Vermont Quilt Sampler Exhibition at Billings Farm later this summer.

Katie’s go-to tools include Clover’s Protect and Grip thimbles, Nurge hoops, Anchor Coton à Broder, and anything from Fableism fabrics.
