Katie is the force behind CraftStudies’ visual identity, handling everything from graphics and communications to exhibition design and studio aesthetics. She joined the organization as a board member in 2022 and quickly fell in love with the vibrant, joy-filled community—before becoming part of the team officially in 2023 as Director of Creative Chaos. Yep. That’s her real job title.

Katie's craft journey began with learning how to cross-stitch from her Baba. However, her current obsession is quilting—especially as a canvas for embroidery. In her work, Katie blends bold geometric patterns with delicate stitched botanicals and map-inspired designs. The second quilt she ever sewed—Glory to Ukraine—was featured in the Vermont Quilt Sampler Exhibition at Billings Farm in 2025.

Katie’s go-to tools include Clover’s Protect and Grip thimbles, Nurge hoops, Anchor Coton à Broder, and anything from Fableism fabrics.
