Calling all book- and bird-lovers!
Learn the bookbinding basics as you create a watercolor journal using the Coptic stitch, perfect for recording your naturalist observations. we’ll also create a travel tray for transporting watercolors.
With journals and watercolors in hand, we’ll take a short drive to Hurricane Hill to birdwatch and draft our first observations. We’ll discuss birds, their habitat, and ways to support birds in your own yard. In addition to discussing native Vermont birds, we’ll practice identifying birds using tools like Merlin ID and traditional bird identification books.
Supplies: All materials are included with registration. If you have an Altoids or similar tin, please bring it in for your travel watercolor kit.
