Join CraftStudies this summer for creative weeklong camps for kids, ages 6 - 12, with special offerings for teens! Campers learn in a supportive and small group setting with individual instruction and inspiration from our professional teaching artists.

How much does camp cost?

All camps cost $275. This price includes all materials and supplies, unless otherwise indicated.

Financial assistance is available though our Community Supported Craft Scholarship Program. Please complete this request form and a member of our team will respond with more details.

When is drop-off/pick-up?

  • AM sessions run 9A - 12P. Drop-off is between 8:45A and 9A; pick-up is between 12P and 12:15P.

  • PM sessions run 1 -4P. Drop-off is between 12:45P and 1P; pick-up is between 4P and 4:15P.

  • Campers signed up for both AM and PM sessions may take part in a supervised lunch and activity, at no additional cost.

Where are camps held?

All camps are held at CraftStudies Studio & School, located at 87 Maple Street, White River Junction, VT 05001

What should campers bring?

  • Campers must bring their own water bottle, nut-free snacks, and lunch.

  • Campers should wear clothes that can get messy and closed-toed shoes.

  • Pinch it! Roll it! Form it! Build it! This is what we will do with clay in this exploratory hand building class. Campers will work with a variety of techniques including pinching, coiling, and slab rolling to develop and enhance their clay building skills. We will take inspiration from nature and our imaginations to build function and fanciful forms such as gnome homes, fairy houses, bowls and cups!

  • Learn how to safely use a sewing machine as well as some basic hand-sewing techniques to make everything from pillows and stuffies, to bags and pouches, to your very own pajamas! Sewing machines and basic supplies are included. Have fun selecting fabric and learning the basics of sewing and feel proud of what you can make yourself.

  • Designing jewelry involves creative problem solving, critical thinking and the development of technical skills. Through collaborative and one-on-one instruction, we will build on each camper’s interests and skills. Techniques such as stamping, piercing, polishing and forming will be introduced to design your own collection of hand-made jewelry.

    Camp includes materials up to $30. Additional materials may be purchased through the metals studio supply shop.

  • A dollhouse is an opportunity for hours of open ended imaginative play and in this camp we'll design our own! Maybe you'd like a castle, a tree house, a skyscraper, or a cozy cabin. Does it have an elevator, a pool, a secret tunnel, or something else extra special? We'll use cardboard boxes, paint, tape, assorted recycled materials and our imaginations to construct our own dream houses. We'll draw a blueprint and make mini accessories. The possibilities are endless!

  • Let's bring your sketches into the 3D world! Campers will plan animals or imaginary creatures then learn techniques to turn them into 3D objects with colorful polymer clay. Using every day objects like spoons, cotton swabs, and straws, campers will discover how to texture, sculpt and bring life to their ideas.
