Natural Dyes from the Garden and Kitchen

  • CraftStudies Studio & School 87 Maple Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

Saturday, June 13, 2026 | 10A - 2P | One-day workshop | $100

Liven up your fiber and textile projects with natural dyes! We are surrounded by plants that contain a rainbow of pigment, many of which are hidden in plain sight in our kitchens, gardens, and even weedy roadsides. In this workshop, we'll prepare a variety of wool, cotton, and silk fabric and yarn for dyeing, and make colorful dye baths with a selection of locally collected plants. Everyone will leave with an array of dyed material to use in future projects.

Supplies: $25 materials fee payable to Emma at the workshop.

If you would like to bring some of your own personal fiber to dye in class, please get in touch with Emma at emmapercy@proton.me at least a week ahead of time for instructions on how to prepare it ahead of time for dyeing.
