  • CraftStudies Studio & School 87 Maple Street Hartford, VT, 05001 United States (map)

Sundays, May 31, June 14 & June 28, 2026 | 10A - 4P | 3 sessions | $350

Learn essential skills for bezel setting a wide variety of stones. You’ll begin by making and fitting basic bezels for cabochons and other flat-back stones of many shapes and materials, including stone, glass, and clay. Practice creating open-back bezels, tube bezels for faceted stones, and flush settings. Along the way, learn how to measure and fabricate bezels, solder them to rings, and set both round and irregularly shaped faceted gemstones using tube and step bezels. The class also covers professional techniques for securing stones cleanly, refining your bezel edges, and achieving a polished, finished result.

Prerequisite: Prior experience with one of the Welcome to the Studio classes or equivalent is recommended.

Supplies: The instructor will provide silver bezel strip, silver wire, and a small assortment of stones for purchase. Additional supplies may be purchased through the Studio Shop.

Bench Time: Bench Time is included for the duration of the class and for 2 weeks after the final session to finish your projects.

Teaching Artist: Joy Raskin
