Learn basic metalsmithing skills and jewelry making techniques in this hands-on introductory class. Get to know the studio and become familiar with the tools, equipment, and unique community resources to help you grow as a metalsmith. Through the creation of a set of rings, students will learn the foundational techniques of metal work including sizing, soldering, shaping, surface decoration, and finishing.
Supplies: Supplies for learning foundational skills taught in class are included. Additional supplies may be purchased through the Studio Shop.
Bench Time: Bench Time is included with registration throughout the duration of this class.

Through the creation of a collection of bracelets, students will learn the foundational techniques of metal work including measuring, cutting, torch use, texturing, filing, forming, and finishing.
